Staff Accountant Jobs

O’Keefe Accounting Group CPA PC is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their growing team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting and preparing compilation engagements, personal and corporate tax returns and participating in audits and review engagements.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Liaising with tax authorities on audits and requests for information
• Prepare financial statements as part of the working paper files
• Effective communication with clients
• Assist in preparing financial statements that are in compliance with ASPE and ASNPO standards
• Staying up to date on assurance and quality control
• Familiarize and embrace the firm’s vision and be able to self-motivate to achieve its objectives.
• Prepare compilation engagement working paper files
• Assist with the preparation of various assurance engagement files such as audits and reviews
• Understanding of personal and corporate tax returns

The successful candidate will have:

• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy & professionalism
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects concurrently
• Experience with and/or knowledge of CaseWare, TaxCycle, QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, Sage Accounting, Doc-It and Microsoft Office suite
• Successful completion of CPA designation or working towards fulfilling
• Ability to work effectively both independently as well as part of a team
• Completion of a University Degree in accounting or related field.
