• Location: Brockville, ON
• Shifts: Monday - Friday
• Salary: $50,000 - $55,000 depending on experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Participate in the generation of month / year end reports, corporate and internal.
• Prepare weekly cash forecast and other financial reports on a determined schedule.
• Balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations, adhoc and routine.
• Identify and investigate accounting irregularities and develop solutions to both correct and prevent reoccurrence.
• Accounts Payables - create and record invoices in and process payments according to prescribed terms.
• Reconcile subledger to general ledger account balances.
• Process bi-weekly payroll through 3rd party payroll provider.
• Back up and supporting role for order entry and accounting receivables functions.
• Work collaboratively with Operations Team, senior management, accounting officers, and sales to ensure the timeliness, accuracy and relevance of financial reporting.
• Actively seek opportunities to make improvements, both from a quality and efficiency perspective, in accounting processes currently in practice at client Systems.
• Reallocation of financial transactions through journal entries as required to ensure they are registered against the correct account / GL code.

Requirements and Qualifications:?

• Minimum 3 year college level diploma in Accounting / Bookkeeping.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and methodologies, specifically as it applies to inventory control and manufacturing.
• Experienced and comfortable working in an electronic accounting software package.
• Generally proficient in the use of the full suite of Microsoft Office applications, with particular strength in the use of Excel.
• Solutions focused mindset with a strong desire to improve processes.
• Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with an attention to detail.
• Proficient in the English language, both verbal and written.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
