Liaise with Project Management team

Serve as a trusted advisor to the internal Project Management team

Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or equivalent

High volume data entry for invoices

Assisting the Controller with accounting and administrative duties including:

Preparing and maintaining inventory reports, vendor lists, aging reports, etc.

Support Project Management and Site Operations by creating purchase orders and monthly forecasts

Strong attention to detail and precision in financial data management

Manage project/cost accounting tasks, including setup, document control, and financial analysis

Assist Project Managers with AR collection and client issue resolution

Minimum 4-6 years of accounting experience, some of which must have taken place in the construction industry

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required

Knowledge and experience with finance software, Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains preferred

Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Applications including Excel, Word and Outlook

Grade 12 education or equivalent

Two (2) years previous experience working in an accounting field

Previous experience with computerized accounting systems

Demonstrated willingness and ability to upgrade and broaden skills

A minimum 2-year accounting/bookkeeping experience and some post-secondary education in Accounting

Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of AX 2012

Deposit cheques using TD remote deposit capture

Perform accurate data entry of accounts payable invoices

Record and manage capital assets.

Assist with month-end closing procedures and audit requirements at year-end.

5+ years experience working as an accounting assistant within an ERP environment.

Experience with Microsoft Navision and Power BI is an asset.

Previous experience in the greenhouse and/or logistics industry is an asset.

Complete monthly bank reconciliations (Canadian and U.S. accounts).

Efficiently utilize technical knowledge from courses to carry out work projects and assignments

• Assisting Vice President, Finance with the preparation of various financial forecasts and annual budgets

• Payroll certification would be an asset

Collaborating with the project management team to develop a detailed, budget for the project.

Reporting any financial risks and budgetary discrepancies to management for review.

Manage all accounting related functions for assigned project.

Manage the flow of invoices, payments, and compliance for assigned project.

Have an understanding of compliance requirements for assigned project.

Input and manage all cost entries in Unifier; utilizing the correct cost code.

2+ years of experience in Project or Professional Services Accounting

Experience in a multi-entity global environment, high-tech industry experience an asset.

Experience with ERP and project accounting systems, Netsuite, Kantata and Salesforce an asset.

2 to 3 years experience in a similar position in financial and operational management;

Identify AR & WIP provision requirements

Assist Controller with project related external and internal audit requirements.

Knowledge of the professional services industry, project-based accounting and ERP systems;

Ability to work under pressure, with remote teams and the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines;

Demonstrated professional judgment and interpersonal skills;
