Liaise with Project Management team

Serve as a trusted advisor to the internal Project Management team

Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or equivalent

Grade 12 education or equivalent

Two (2) years previous experience working in an accounting field

Previous experience with computerized accounting systems

Demonstrated willingness and ability to upgrade and broaden skills

A minimum 2-year accounting/bookkeeping experience and some post-secondary education in Accounting

Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of AX 2012

Deposit cheques using TD remote deposit capture

Perform accurate data entry of accounts payable invoices

Participate in tax planning engagements and the preparation of technical tax memos

Conducting tax research and interpreting tax legislation and proposed legislative changes

Preparing client correspondence, including; reports & analysis, discussion of technical issues and recommendations, and attending client meetings where appropriate

Oversees building management including repairs and maintenance, and negotiate with related contractors regarding cost and deliverables.

Minimum 5 years' experience in managing operations, human resources, communications and finances.

Demonstrated ability to team-building skills to lead, motivate and inspire others;

Demonstrated ability to analytical, problem solving, advisory, decision making, planning and organizational skills;

Participate in daily/monthly meetings and prepare related reports;

Participate in recruiting, hiring, orientating, training, mentoring and evaluating administrative staff;

Assisting managers with Federal or state income tax correspondence audits

2-3 years of public accounting experience

CPA Certification or working toward completion

Managing the US corporate tax compliance requirements of our varied client base

Working knowledge of US corporate tax preparation software;

Experience with dealing with the IRS and State tax authorities;

Results oriented individual with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adhere to strict deadlines;

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline or an equivalent combination of related experience and education

2+ years of accounting experience in an accounting or financial management role

Cash flow management, including forecasts and analysis.
