Intermediate Accountant Jobs

The Company:

Our Public Accounting client is located in Richmond Hill, is a newly well established public accounting firm that provides Audit & Accounting, Tax, Advisory, and Bookkeeping services to SMB, Owner-managed businesses, and Not-For-Profit organizations. They provide a one-stop-shop accounting and tax solutions with a very hands-on approach for clients.

They are looking to add an Intermediate Accounting Associate to growing team, someone who has the right passion to grow into a more senior role in the future. You will be working with some great leaders who really care for their people and want to build a strong healthy work culture.

Your Responsibilities (but not be limited to):

• Assist in preparing compilation, review, audit and tax engagements.
• Preparation of payroll and government-related remittances and filings including, T4s and T5s.
• Main focus of this role would be on assurance
• Correspond with the CRA regarding client matters.
• Preparation of personal, corporate tax, and GST/HST returns.
• Bookkeeping and reconciliations on QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop.

Must Haves:

• Strong work ethic and an ambitious and driven mind set. Someone who takes ownership of their work; seeking growth and promotion
• 1-2 in audit
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting firm
• Experience with CaseWare, TaxPrep, and Excel (VLOOK UPS, Pivot Tables) is a must.

Nice to have:

• QuickBooks
• Payroll experience (government remittances)
• Pursuing or having obtained CPA designation.
