Role Overview


Reporting to the Head of Verticals for eBay Canada, this position involves driving the performance for some of the largest categories and sellers for the Canadian market. You will work closely with both internal and external partners to make sure eBay has the inventory and on-site experience to grow the business. This is a role that encompasses developing relationships with key accounts, understanding of several categories and knowledge of eBay. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to drive this business to the next level.


Key Responsibilities


  • Advocate for initiatives to improve buyer & seller happiness
  • Develop and execute tactics and plans to build the business, including developing relevant opportunities for retail moments
  • Develop relationships with key accounts, the largest sellers in the Canadian market, spanning across several categories to deliver their performance and goals
  • Drive eBay onsite and offsite event planning with cross functional teams
  • Monitor key performance metrics (pricing, inventory, discoverability, customer happiness, gross merchandise volume, etc.) and react to drive business


Required Skills


  • Strong attention to detail with the sense of responsibility for the flawless execution of assigned tasks
  • Strong time management skills, including the discipline to get things done in ambiguous situations and the ability to work on multiple projects and navigate multiple partner engagements simultaneously
  • Expert in MS-Excel and fluency with MS-Office and SQL
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills; French fluency desirable
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience with growing responsibility in Merchandising, Buying, Category Management/Account Management in an online retail or marketplace environment
  • Experience in buying and selling on eBay an asset
