Job Description

We are Octapharma:

We are about transforming health care for people living with rare diseases. We do this by implementing bold changes in a conservative industry. Our customers want big-picture change too, so they rely on us to address this opportunity from all sides with business and operational insights, generate clinical data and real-world evidence, harness the power of data, and digital leadership. It’s our job to help clients make major leaps forward in transforming care for our patients. How do we do it? We set aligned goals with our customers and do everything in our power to achieve better outcomes for our patients and help deliver patient-centred care. And customers have come to rely on us to get the job done with great flexibility in demanding circumstances.

You are:

  • Experienced in managing change at an institutional level by working with multidisciplinary decision-makers.
  • Resourceful and exhibit sound judgment with an ability to set priorities and make decisions.
  • Someone with a great attitude who has a positive mindset to learn and grow.
  • Excel at connecting evidence and science to everyday patient well-being and outcomes.
  • Experienced in working with senior executives internally and decision-makers externally.
  • Dynamic in how you plan work, delivering results with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • An intuitive individual who anticipates and acts, instead of awaiting directions to respond.
  • An inherently curiosity-led, independent thinker with a sound understanding of opportunities and obstacles in the patient care flow.
  • An individual who loves being in front of customers and having stimulating conversations that bring incremental changes to patient care.

The work:

We are ambitious and have a progressive agenda. In each therapeutic area we operate, we have generated world-class data through clinical research in Canada. We want your expertise to help bring this evidence into routine clinical practice.

What you will be doing

  • Improve customer experience across multiple touch points, including our Home Care program to ensure patient loyalty and retention.
  • Track monthly business performance metrics and adjust planning to bridge any gaps.
  • Invest in continuous learning to stay current with scientific literature and competitor activities.
  • Develop and execute a mutually agreed, individualized clinic-level plan to implement evidence-based hospital protocols and or treatment algorithms.
  • Facilitate frequent, high-quality, peer-to-peer virtual and in-person meetings based on identified learning needs.
  • Develop regional brand advocates and thought leaders through peer-to-peer influence.
  • You will map patient and care flow dynamics at a clinic level to identify opportunities to improve outcomes based on the evidence for Octapharma product range across multiple therapy areas.

What we offer:

You will be mentored, coached, and empowered to learn by doing. You will have the autonomy needed to be successful and experience diversity in your role, from handling day-to-day customers to developing and implementing change management programs in collaboration with the medical and marketing team. You will have opportunities for professional growth and advancement through a transparent PDP process. You can expect a collaborative and inclusive work environment that values diversity.

You will need:

  • Good phone/ email manners and impeccable presentation skills.
  • Experience in the Hematology, Immunology or Critical care therapeutic areas
  • Fluency in business French for ON East-based roles.
  • Life Sciences education. B.Sc. Nursing, Pharmacy or health care training preferred.
  • 3-5 years of evidence-based, direct medical sales experience
  • Experience in virtual customer engagement and management
