Team Description

Our Sales and Channel teams share Dropbox Business with companies around the world, helping them understand the power Dropbox has to offer teams at scale. The Sales Strategy team develops insights to assess business performance, and leads initiatives to identify new sources of growth. We work closely with senior sales leaders to develop shared goals, and do the planning and execution necessary to make those goals a reality.




Role Description

We’re looking for a Business Manager for our Head of Americas Sales & Channel. As a project manager and strategic adviser, you will play a critical role in helping to run Dropbox’s Americas business.


You are a self-starter and independent thinker with strong communication skills, project management skills, and are capable of handling sensitive and confidential information while supporting a rapidly evolving organization. You do not shy away from rolling up your sleeves and building creative solutions to problems that have not been tackled yet, and no task is too big or too small for you to take on. You recognize where processes can be improved, and take the initiative to improve them, end-to-end.


You’re comfortable interacting across the organization at all levels, from individual contributors to senior leaders (VP level) and executives in Sales, Marketing, People Ops and Recruiting, Sales Strategy & Planning and Finance. You’re a team player, and are known for your ability to build and maintain meaningful cross-functional relationships.


While you thrive in ambiguity, you’re highly organized, detail-oriented and are passionate about designing and implementing processes to keep everyone on track and grow the Americas business.


Responsibilities
  • Provide feedback to Head of AMER as an advisor/thought-partner, both positive and negative feedback
  • Manage and streamline the communication flow from the Head AMER Sales to direct team and the wider organization - as well as communication back. The right messages need to be articulated in the right way and land with the right people at the right time with the right vehicle. For example, crafting communications for leadership to announce new team members, spiffs, or sales-kick off events; in addition, craft communication for leadership to send external parties such as customer, partners, and/or vendors
  • Build effective relationships with colleagues and senior leaders in Sales & Channel, Solutions & Success, Finance, Sales Strategy, Marketing, Partnerships, People Operations, and Recruiting
  • Using analytical abilities and problem solving skills, assist AMER Sales Strategy & Head AMER Sales with forecasting processes, pipeline management, quarterly business reviews, quarterly capacity review, organizational design and annual planning
  • Streamline key processes and provide significant project management across AMER Sales, such as quarterly sales kick off events, deal reviews, AMER Sales leadership team weekly meetings, team headcount tracking, running spiffs, and planning team off-sites

Requirements
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal - ability to clearly articulate business issues and recommend / synthesize solutions
  • Strong analytical / quantitative skills
  • Previous experience in tech sales environment preferred
  • Self-starter, motivated by achieving goals within the team setting. Strong desire to make the entire team successful
  • Strong preference for past experience in sales or related field as this is relevant to working with the larger team
  • Ability to draw insights from complex data and help drive business decisions accordingly
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, Google Sheets/Excel
  • 3+ years experience - background in sales, consulting, or finance strongly preferred
