Head of Sales - North America (East Coast)
Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: Competitive basic salary + generous biannual bonus + Un-capped commission

Role Description
Protect Group is a business founded by an ambitious entrepreneur James and a highly experienced and successful entrepreneur and investor David. Protect Group is transitioning from start up to scale up with rapid growth over the past 24 months, so it’s a very exciting time to become involved - we’re already selling in 60+ countries from 14 global locations! We are now expanding our sales team in Canada by bringing onboard a Head of Sales - North America (East Coast).
In terms of what we do, we provide Membership Programmes that operate a variety of benefits centred around the distribution of Event Protection and Refund Protection. In the Event, Transport, Travel, Accommodation and Sports sectors worldwide.

Whether you’re an experienced manager or an ambitious and successful business developer looking to step into management, we are looking for a natural leader who will be able to maximise Protect Group’s growth in the North America (East Coast) region. Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer (Americas), you will develop the strongest possible membership portfolio in the following sectors:
- Ticketing, Venues & Sport
- Transport
- Participation
- Accommodation
- Travel & Tours
Business Development & Planning
- Leading by example, generating relationships with high-value prospective clients (“Members”), agreeing commercials and onboarding these Members.
- Using knowledge of the market and competitors to identify Protects USPs.
- Identify opportunities for campaigns that will lead to an increase in sales.
- Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.
- Manage budgets effectively to attend appropriate industry events and conferences.
- Devise, develop and roll-out a sales strategy for the North America (East Coast) region.
Management & Research
- Work closely with regional heads to share best practice and global sales opportunities.
- Recruit, mentor and manage a team of business development staff, creating a collaborative and competitive culture.
- Identify new tools and technology that can be used to improve the effectiveness of the sales cycle.
- Provide business development training to increase the team’s sales success.
- Working closely with the integrations and development team to ensure smooth onboarding of new Members.
- Produce detailed sales forecasts, ensuring the team’s targets are met.
Requirements:
- Ability to plan, manage and execute a sales strategy, ensuring targets are met.
- Enthusiastic, high degree of integrity, self-motivated, positive attitude and proactive approach to work.
- Ambitious and confident leader, who is able to inspire and develop a strong team of salespeople.
- Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal)
- Experience in developing excellent relationship with both team members and clients.
- Detail orientated, with experience of reporting. Able to use data effectively to understand where operational improvements can be made.
Beneficial skills and experience:
- Languages: Please highlight any language skills that can be utilised when speaking to prospects across the North America (East Coast) region.
- Previous experience in any of the following sectors: Ticketing, Events and Venues, Sports, Participation, Travel & Tours, Transport or Accommodation.
