Job Description

The Company


Our client is one of the world's oldest bookmakers. They’ve operated successfully in the UK and Ireland for many decades, and have an extremely loyal customer base. With a £30 million yearly NGR and over £500 million in stakes, they cater to high-staking customers and pride themselves on providing a seamless customer journey. They sponsor a tier 1 UK football club and engage with their audience through multiple marketing channels, and loyalty schemes including exclusive members clubs.


Having already conquered the UK and Irish markets, their aim now is to take the brand more international. The first stop on this expansion journey is Canada, and having recently acquired their Ontario license, they are looking to spearhead growth here.


As such, they are now looking to recruit a proven ‘Head of Marketing – Canada’ to build and execute multi-channel, marketing campaigns targeted towards the local market.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Work closely with an external agency to manage budgets, create engaging content, and develop creatives for affiliate, PPC, and programmatic acquisition efforts.
  • Work with the team to develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy, leveraging an agency to establish a strong presence on platforms such as Meta and Twitter. Ensure the messaging aligns with our brand's tone of voice and resonates with the Canadian audience.
  • Draw on support from the UK Performance Team to implement reactivation campaigns and develop retention strategies that align with CRM efforts.
  • Collaborate with the VIP team to create tailored experiences, and personalized retention
  • Coordinate with the Head of Design to ensure timely and high-quality production of design materials, aligning with the overall marketing and acquisition strategies.
  • Collaborate with the centralised marketing team to design and execute CRM campaigns, including emails, texts, and phone calls, to engage and retain their player base.
  • Support the marketing team in implementing brand marketing initiatives such as Out-of-Home (OOH) advertising and events to enhance brand visibility and awareness
  • Partner with iGaming marketing agencies to implement effective SEO strategies, ensuring the brand achieves high visibility and search engine rankings.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Director to develop and execute acquisition campaigns and bonus programs that attract new customers


Requirements:


  • Must be based in Canada (remotely)
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and the ability to leverage them for brand promotion.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels such as Affiliates, PPC, Programmatic, SEO, Display, Paid Social and CRM.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
  • Previous senior marketing experience within the iGaming/Sports betting industry is essential
  • Experienced managing cross channel marketing budgets, allocating spend and delivering strong ROI
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Proficiency in using marketing analytics tools to track and measure campaign performance.
  • Familiarity with VIP management and retention strategies.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful Acquisition and CRM campaigns.
