Job Description

Our Company Mission:

To reduce C02 emissions by striving to become the premier enabler of commercial EV and Hydrogen charging along key routes. Our goal is to have customer refueling performed as quickly as possible through offering DC Fast EV Charging and rapid hydrogen refueling.


The Challenge:

As with every class of EV rolling out or in development, one of the biggest obstacles to clean transportation adoption is lack of refueling infrastructure, this is particularly so for big rigs. Semi vehicles make up 1% of North American vehicles but contribute to 20% of North American vehicle emissions. Grid energy distribution challenges, backordered transformers, and future energy costs limit clean infrastructure implementation limit development.

Our Solution:

Pure H2EV Charging has a solution that can be setup separate from the grid and produces energy onsite. This eliminates the excessive wait times from the utilities to setup costly electrical service and removes the threat of forthcoming significant price increases on energy costs. By producing electricity from hydrogen and solar, Pure H2EV enables adoption of 100% green hydrogen and DC Fast EV infrastructure for commercial vehicles when away from their depots.


Current Focus & About the Role:

We are a startup and are looking to provide company ownership to someone looking to join the team in a fractional role. When we receive funding this position will turn into a full-time paid position to oversee all Marketing activities and overall Marketing direction. For now, we need someone to provide strategic direction for the brand and perform essential digital marketing activities like build the website, perform graphic design tasks and develop social media platforms for the company.


The Head of Marketing is a title often used for a business that wants an ‘everything marketing person. While many other marketing department roles only involve conceptualizing, the head of marketing is also responsible for making them happen. In other words, you’re not only athinker, you’re also adoer.

The Head of Marketing isa marketing expert who takes responsibility for the overall marketing results of a company. This person oversees marketing strategies and efforts in order to strengthen company's market position and achieves desired business goals. The Head of Marketing is an expert in shepherding communications, networking, and building brand loyalty. This industry demands leadership with a deep understanding and up-to-date expertise in strategizing customer and partner requirements.

Our ideal candidate will have experience shepherding the conceptualization, expansion, and promotion of strategic and progressive marketing campaigns. A leader with an eye for detailing who heralds demographic and need-based categorization and analyses of target audience using proper research methods. Our candidate will chart out aviable and feasible marketing mix of varied media, both paid and unpaid for brand promotion and launch campaigns.


Head of Marketing (key aspect Digital Marketing) Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintains digital marketing staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees; and planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Brainstorms new and creative growth strategies through digital marketing.
  • Identifies trends and insights, and optimizes spend and performance based on the insights.
  • Contributes to marketing effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed.
  • Identifies critical conversion points and drop off points and optimizes user funnels.
  • Plans, executes, and measures experiments and conversion tests.
  • Maintains digital marketing staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Measures and reports performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assesses against goals (ROI and KPIs).
  • Plans and executes all web, SEO/SEM, database marketing, email, social media, and display advertising campaigns.
  • Develops digital marketing strategy by studying economic indicators, tracking changes in supply and demand, identifying customers and their current and future needs, and monitoring the competition.
  • Completes digital marketing department operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results.
  • Designs, builds, and maintains our social media presence and company website
  • Collaborates with internal teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience.
  • Utilizes strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points.

Develops digital marketing staff by providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities.


Head of Marketing Qualifications/Skills:

  • Managing processes
  • Familiar with financial planning and strategy
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate
  • Proficient in marketing research and statistical analysis
  • Self-motivated yet customer-focused
  • Coaching and subordinate involvement
  • Creating and maintaining client relationships
  • Able to develop budgets


Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • French and (or) Spanish fluency is a bonus but not required
  • Experience with Hydrogen, Electric Vehicles, Commercial Transportation, Special Event Marketing are also added bonuses
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media, and/or display advertising campaigns
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Working knowledge of ad serving tools
  • Solid knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends, SEMRush, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing or a related field
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
  • Experience running marketing campaigns across North America is bonus but not required
  • Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels
  • Proven working experience in digital marketing, particularly within the industry
  • Experience in setting up and optimizing PPC campaigns on all major search engines
