As a key member of our Office of the CEO, the Business Manager reports directly into the CEO. You will be tasked with providing high quality support to our office of the CEO, Executive team members and both internal/external stakeholders.


We are looking for an efficient self-starter with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment. You are a masterful problem-solver, highly organized and have exceptional communication skills. You also have an excellent ability to build and maintain relations with both internal/external stakeholders and help drive accountability. In this role you will support the optimization of the CEO’s efficiency by organizing, preparing their day, calendar travel and gatekeeping.


You're great at...


  • Timely preparation and presentation of materials for key external and internal meetings. This includes: weekly touch point with calendar review to assess needs for the week, collecting materials in preparation for requirements, updating materials and reviewing amendments with stakeholders, highlighting key points from stakeholders, taking the lead as liaison on materials collection and compilation and ensuring accountability.
  • Prioritizing based on level of importance/urgency through a contextual understanding of corporate strategies/objectives and CEO agenda.
  • Establishing and strengthening key stakeholder relationships (internal and external) to effectively manage challenging situations in the performance of your duties, and the reputation of Interac.
  • Organizing travel arrangements, checking in and preparing expense reports. Understanding the CEO’s travel preferences; preparing, consolidating and reviewing all documents prior to travel in one email.Participating in social committee, D&I committee and other event committees as required.
  • Proactively reading invites and emails and briefing/updating the CEO and Business Unit on upcoming meetings and ongoing obligations. Next day prep/fyi on critical information and deliverables/requirements/responsibilities for meetings.
  • Day-to-day management of the Office of the CEO.
  • Managing calendar and activities to ensure high-value time utilization of the CEO in relation to external and internal requirements.


Who are you?


  • The ability to take high-level thinking and decipher and articulate in an effective way using PowerPoint, email or written correspondence while managing ambiguity.
  • Confidence to drive outcomes by being business and people savvy at all levels of the organization (manage up, influence up, willingness to challenge people).
  • A results-driven approach and are a trusted team member who provides insights to team concerns/trends in a proactive manner with integrity and confidentiality to support the CEO in proactive problem resolution.
  • Maturity, discretion, exceptional common sense and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Can handle stressful situations with measured calmness and decisiveness.
  • Best in class organizational skills, flexibility and ability to multi-task with demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities.
  • Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.
  • A penchant for taking initiative, proactively anticipating what’s next for the CEO so you can prepare accordingly.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 10 years progressive experience as executive assistant/administrator and/or Business Manager to senior and C-suite leaders.
  • Excellent analytical skills; ability to quickly aggregate and analyze information.
  • Exceptional verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
  • A positive, professional demeanor, passion and interest in Interac and can instill trust with all parties.
  • A high level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams).
