SCOPE OF POSITION


Reporting to the Managing Director, the Director, Private Equity will have responsibility for origination, execution and management of investments.


Responsibilities


  • Oversees quarterly and annual reporting and valuation process related to the portfolio companies
  • Responsible for the asset management of portfolio companies by working closely with management teams and the board to execute value creation initiatives
  • Sourcing new investment opportunities and presenting merits to the Investment Committee
  • Manage the diligence process for new investments, including coordinating with various advisors/consultants, reviewing financial analysis and overseeing junior team members
  • Support capital structure management, including debt refinancing, tax planning and capital budgeting


Qualifications


  • Commitment to stay current on a variety of topics related to the investment themes being explored
  • Driven to achieving results and continuously striving to deliver the highest performance through creative thinking
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in direct buyout private equity, including prior experience in investment banking or principal investing or consulting. Healthcare experience is an asset.
  • Embrace collaborative sharing of knowledge within a team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and both written & verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and timelines
  • Be intellectually curious and have a long investment horizon
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and strong analytical skills
