What You’ll Do

• Verify transactions to comply with financial policies and procedures.
• Communicate with Operations team daily on status of payments and make any adjustments as requested.
• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with policy and accepted accounting practices.
• Manage and distribute incoming e-mails.
• Record all cheques, EFTs, credit card payments and wire transfers. Prepare for mailing and maintain filing of accounts payable.
• Communicate with Vendors/Customers and reconcile discrepancies.
• Reconcile returned funds and communicate with operations team to correct customer information.
• Review, Enter and post invoices in Great plains and Process payments (EFT, Cheque, Wire)
• Other duties and projects as requested

What You’ll Need

• Achievement oriented; must be able to juggle multiple tasks, tight deadlines and changing priorities
• Able to work independently, effectively and constructively under pressure
• Well-organized, detail-oriented and consistently accurate
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-starter who takes initiative and thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Effective team player
• Advanced in MS Office products – Excel
• 1 – 2 years’ experience in accounts payable.
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable when dealing with change
