Overview Payroll and Benefits Administrators are responsible for managing the payroll and benefits of an organization. They ensure that all employees are paid accurately and on time, and that all benefits are administered in accordance with company policies and procedures. They also handle employee inquiries and provide support to the Human Resources department. Detailed Job Description Payroll and Benefits Administrators are responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll and benefits for an organization. This includes calculating wages, deductions, and bonuses; preparing and issuing paychecks; and maintaining payroll records. They also manage employee benefits, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and vacation time. They ensure that all benefits are administered in accordance with company policies and procedures. They also handle employee inquiries and provide support to the Human Resources department. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of payroll and benefits administration
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of payroll and benefits software
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• At least two years of experience in payroll and benefits administration
• Professional certification in payroll and benefits administration (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional)
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of payroll and benefits laws and regulations
• Knowledge of payroll and benefits software
• Knowledge of payroll and benefits processes and procedures
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Job Experience
• At least two years of experience in payroll and benefits administration
• Experience in a Human Resources department
• Experience with payroll and benefits software
Job Responsibilities
