Job Description
TalentWorld is looking for a Payroll and Benefits Coordinator to join our client's Payroll Team. The Payroll and Benefits Coordinator will be responsible for collecting, verifying, and processing payroll information, determine pay and benefit entitlements for employees, while ensuring the accuracy of preliminary payroll reports, time sheets and spreadsheets. Assuring compliance with all applicable federal and provincial regulations and company policies.


Payroll And Benefits Coordinator Responsibilities


  • Ability to provide flexible coverage/hours of work to meet operational needs
  • Prepare, verify and process all employee payroll related payments, including regular pay, benefit payments, and special payments such as bonuses and vacation pay
  • Maintain and update employee information, such as records of employee attendance, leave and overtime to calculate pay and benefit entitlements,
  • Update employees, indicating gross and net salaries and deductions such as taxes, garnishments and insurance as required
  • Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies
  • Support with payroll related filings and supporting documentation, such as year-end tax statements, Records of Employment and other statements


Payroll And Benefits Coordinator Qualifications


  • Proficiency with MS Office applications
  • 2+ years of experience in payroll and benefits
  • Post secondary education in Accounting or Business Administration required
