Fueling Brains is looking for a Vice President - Business Services and the details are as follows:-
The Opportunity:
The Vice President's responsibilities include overseeing Shared Services (Finance, Procurement, HR, etc.), helping to build strong business relationships, maximizing the company's operating performance, and helping to achieve the company's financial goals.
Reporting to the President, the Vice President, Business Services is responsible for maintaining effective and efficient administrative and financial operations. The Vice President guides long-term financial planning within the scope of the organizations Purpose Statement and strategic plan.
A key member of the President's Cabinet, the Vice President works as part of a team to execute the overall direction for the organization. The Vice President consults with the members of the Cabinet on organization-wide issues and works collaboratively to ensure that the organization achieves its strategic and operational goals. The Vice President brings forward recommendations concerning organization-wide projects and allocation of resources to the appropriate planning groups and to the President in a manner that demonstrates the organization's commitment to shared governance.
The Vice President directs the activities of the business services functions with supervisory responsibility for financial and business services, human resources, budget preparation and management, contract administration, pre and post- award grant support, facilities and maintenance, asset management, and safety.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while providing expertise and guidance on financial and people projects and systems.
- Establishes, implements, and communicates the strategic direction, ROI goals and incentive plans of the organization's Shared Services; and formulates or approved relevant policies and programs to support those
- Identifies training needs and ensures proper training is developed and provided.
- Establishes and administers all departmental budgets.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Reviews and approves cost-control reports, cost estimates, and workforce plans aligned with organizational growth objectives.
- Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in financial operations management.
- Responsible for processing the financial activities of the organization to maximize profits and plan for its growth.
- Identifies, recommends, and implements new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational financial and people processes and use of resources and materials.
- Ensures that departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing, development, organization, material efficiency, hardware acquisitions, and facilities are in line with the organization's business plan and vision.
- Allocate material, human and financial resources to implement organizational policies and programs
- Presents periodic performance reports and metrics to the President of the organization and other leadership team members.
- Establishes, communicates, and implements finance-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution.
What you bring (Preferred Skills and Qualifications):
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong systems, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Five or more years of progressively responsible supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities in planning and managing the financial and physical resources of an organization and experience in developing and carrying out strategic initiatives.
- MBA in Finance, Business Administration, Logistics, or other industry-related field required
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.
- Business/financial experience in education is preferred, but not required.
