Our Client, Durabuilt Windows & Doors’ (Durabuilt) is looking for a Vice President of Sales that is based in either Calgary, AB or Edmonton, AB.

They are still a private, family-owned company operating in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba, with potential additional expansion into British Columbia. Position


The Vice President of Sales (VP of Sales) with Durabuilt Windows & Doors will bring fresh perspective and ideas to the growing oriented business and focus on strategic leadership over the sales function with full accountability for the sales team and sales results. While the current team is functioning well, this leadership role is strategically involved with customer acquisition, lead generation, prospect management strategies & execution, leading profitability, as well as, continuous development, guidance and growth of the sales managers and sales team.


The VP of Sales will be responsible for business development strategies and driving the CRM. This individual will furthermore be an executive who leads research strategy, assesses market results, sales activities, client business referrals, network growth and liaises with the marketing group to ensure that the sales team is maximizing all leads and market prospects identified as well as providing prospective customers/clients with all services offered and delivering presentations as needed. Additionally, the VP Sales works with the team to ensure that they are adequately trained on product information and services available, as well as the CRM tools to ensure clients can find the solutions they need, with excellence in consultation throughout the sales process as well as building leadership succession.


This VP Sales position will have full accountability for sales, profitability and reporting marketing and sales analysis to the executive team. This individual must therefore be highly motivated, well-spoken and eager to close sales and increase revenue. The role incumbent will be an innovative self-starter who can maintain motivation within themselves and inspire motivation amongst their team.


The ideal candidate for this role will be an established and successful leader who is highly driven, collaborative and passionate about the products and sales growth. This individual will be someone who will take ownership of their team and the development of the team, that is, a strong communicator who will both inspire and mentor their direct reports and also aligns with the organization's values and culture.


Reporting Relationships


  • Manages: Direct Reports (3-6): Director of Sales Edmonton, Branch Manager in Winnipeg and Saskatoon | Indirectly (4-5): Sales Leaders, 10-12 Sales Support, Order Desk
  • Reports to: Chief Operating Officer


Requirements


Strategic Leadership


  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with internal team members, senior management team and managers across all departments.
  • Create and deliver informative presentations; presenting and delivering information to potential clients at client meetings, industry exhibits, potentially trade shows and conferences.
  • Collaborating with senior management on sales goals, planning, and forecasting; maintaining short- and long-term Sales development plans.
  • Evaluate, coach and mentor and develop the skills of the Sales team and ensure the Branch managers have proper structure to support future growth targets.
  • Collaborating with sales and leadership to secure, retain and grow accounts.
  • Initiating an elevated approach to business market expansion.
  • Maintain a pipeline of all sales administration using CRM software.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team and determining how to best execute marketing initiatives to assist with business development goals.
  • Lead and continue the culture and company values including family, respect, open communication, accountability and hard work to meet goals while caring and making safety a priority.
  • Leverage a previously established network to further business development.


Sales & Business Development


  • This leadership role is a leader and active contributor. Identify, qualify, and secure new sales and business opportunities; coordinating lead generation activities; developing customized targeted sales strategies and KPIs for Cold calling; outbound calls to potential clients; closing sales and working with the client through the closing process.
  • Understanding client needs and offering solutions and support; answering potential client questions and follow-up call questions; responding to client requests for proposals (RFPs).
  • Using the Salesforce CRM, creating and maintaining the database of prospect clients and prospective client information.
  • Expanding and building business relationships with current and potential clients.
  • Meeting goals and targets for sales activities: cold calling, active, inactive calls, appointments, and interviews; meeting clients, market analysis, exceeding annual sales goals.


Accreditations


  • Bachelor’s degree in business (i.e., Finance, Management), or related field
  • High school degree or equivalent


Systems and Subject Matter Knowledge


  • Custom manufacturing (ideally windows and doors)
  • Knowledge of Salesforce functions


Experience & Qualifications


  • Strong analytical skills and experience performing sales analysis and reporting of sales and market trends/data.
  • Persuasive and goal-oriented possessing an energetic, outgoing and friendly demeanor and the ability to build consensus and support for chosen strategies and solution(s).
  • Successfully led high-performing teams with experience evaluating, developing, coaching and motivating sales teams.
  • An established network within the Alberta market is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience building sales strategy, implementing strategic sales plans and achieving sales growth and a history of successfully driving revenue and hitting growth targets.
  • Available for travel within Western Canada/Prairies.
  • Able to communicate with C-Level Executives professionally and confidently.
  • Experience working alongside a marketing team to develop and put forward new business development initiatives.
  • 10+ years of working experience in sales leadership roles with evidence of progression and growth with the ability to work independently and as part of the team.
