Bow Valley College
Bow Valley College, Alberta's largest comprehensive community college, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice-President, External to join its executive team. As the Vice-President, External, you will play a vital role in setting and supporting the strategic direction of the institution. Your primary responsibility will be to develop key relationships with stakeholder groups, partners, and the community, while leading key initiatives to decrease reliance on funding and increase revenue generation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote work-integrated learning and enhance employer relations.
- Lead revenue generation activities and develop strategies for sustainable funding.
- Establish and nurture provincial, national, and international partnerships, products, and services.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with employers to increase learner employment.
- Drive fund development and alumni engagement.
- Contribute to strategic change management and innovation within the college.
- Oversee government relations at municipal, provincial, and federal levels.
- Develop and sustain strong government and community relationships.
Candidate Profile:
- Skilled in strategic planning and implementation.
- Ability to work effectively within an executive team.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to build trust and shared vision.
- Superior organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Sound business acumen and analytical abilities.
- Master's degree in a relevant area of study or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven track record in business development and global initiatives.
- Demonstrated commitment to transparency, consensus-building, and innovation.
- Ability to lead and inspire teams toward goal attainment.
- Experience in senior leadership roles, preferably in a post-secondary institution or related sector.
- Goal-oriented, energetic, and adaptable to changing requirements.
