VICE PRESIDENT OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT (VP-BD)

Region: North America

JOB DESCRIPTION

Roles and Responsibilities

Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the entire team, the VP of Business Development is charged with expanding CBH’s business by promoting CBH professional expertise in the Public-Private Partnership projects, with an emphasis on businesses experiencing growth and change. The geographic region is Canada, USA, Mexico, Central and South America (with exclusion of Brazil).

The VPBD shall set the business development strategy, systems, and processes to achieve the business goals set by the Chairman and CEO. The VPBD shall embrace a Total Quality Management approach keeping in mind learning organisation and continuous improvement.

The VPBD will have the experience and ability similar capacity with well reputed organization. The VPBD shall identify and engage with key client in sovereign governments and/or related quasigovernment organizations. The VPBD shall plan, prepare and conduct CBH presentations to the key client and initiate the official/formal to the key clients.

The VPBD shall arrange for workshops and training, as well as more consultative custom solutions centered on leadership and organizational development.

The VPBD has a strong background with demonstrated experience in business development in a B2G and/or professional services setting, particularly working with senior level decision- makers. He/she will have a unique ability to build relationships and develop networks, along with highly developed account management skills. He/she should be curious about how individuals and teams perform at their highest levels, and eager to offer solutions to help individuals and teams work more efficiently and effectively.

The VPBD must be confident, resourceful, and self-initiating team players with the ability to thrive in a fast- paced, multi-pronged work environment where each individual contributor is expected to drive projects forward while also working collaboratively to achieve shared goals. He/she will be expected to manage clients independently, make important decisions about sales approach and network development while also leveraging the strengths of the CBH team to deliver the high-quality, high-impact work that makes up the core of CBH’s reputation.

Specific duties and responsibilities include:


o Seek out and source new clients by developing networks and independently identifying and developing relevant resources for business development.


o Promote CBH’s business services effectively showing positive financial and fiscal results, with growth quarter by quarter.

oCollaborate with members of the CBH team to ensure an excellent client experience across all client interactions from needs assessment through delivery and follow up.

oWork collaboratively with the Director of Marketing to develop creative outreach strategies to attract and retain clients.

oWork towards sales and revenue goals as established in partnership with the CEO.

oOver time, as the team grows, to manage 1-3 people in focused special teams and groups in the business development functions.

Essential Skills/Attributes of the Ideal Candidate

o MBA or BusinessBachelor degree and a minimum of 7 years of professional work experience in B2G business development in professional services.

oExceptional relationship management skills and the ability to build and grow connections with people of all types and backgrounds.

oExceptional verbal and written communication skills.

oIndependent critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.

oFluency in English and French. Speaking Spanish is a plus.

o Ability to work on the move with high ICT user capability and attention to cybersecurity.

oHighly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects.

oComfort with ambiguity and navigate through uncertainty in geopolitical tense conditions.

oStrong personality with style to endure and navigate politically charged situations

oStrong knowledge of geography, history, and culture of the assigned region.

oInterest and comfort in working as part of a small team leading mega projects.


oDynamic personality, with a high sense of diplomacy and reasonable sense of humor to manage serious situations.
