Vice President Of Business Development

Our company is searching for an experienced and talented individual to serve asVicePresident of Business Development. The right candidate has a history of exceptional industry forecasting and successful budget management that can determine ways to increase company efficiency. You will regularly analyze company operations for problems, encourage staff to increase productivity, and provide support to managers when they have particular concerns about work processes, supplies, or staff. When necessary, you will also oversee employee hirings and terminations.

The Vice President of Business Development is a crucial member of our senior management team, who reports to the President/COO & CFO. In this position, you will have to manage and control diverse business operations and functions, so we expect a hardworking, dedicated and inspiring leader.

Job Responsibilities

· Directs the development and execution of the business development vision, strategy, plans, and processes that will drive revenues, increase revenue, expand markets, and accomplish financial objectives.

· Identifies and evaluates new markets, partners, channels, and customers.

· Must have the interpersonal skills and ability to develop a wide network of contacts to keep informed about current on future industry and market actions.

· Researches and analyzes the business environment, competitors, and customers to develop ideas for new products and services, pricing, and construction delivery models.

· Additionally, directs financial feasibility studies, proposal development, and negotiations for new business opportunities.

· Collaborates with marketing, sales, product development, and other stakeholders to support business development plans.

· Manages departmental function within a broader corporate function and efficiencies.

· Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives.

· Approves policies developed within sub-functions and departments.

Requirements and Qualifications

· Requires a bachelor’s degree. Being a Professional Engineer and/or having an MBA as asset but not a prerequisite.

· Require 20+ years of managerial experience.

· Comprehensive knowledge of the overall departmental function andpublic construction sector base in the GTA and Southern Ontario Market.

·Have working relationship and knowledge of Public Sector Customers like Metrolinx, City of Toronto, MTO and Regional governments in and around the Greater Toronto Area.

· Hands on experience in mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning and business development (legal procedures and protocol)

· Excellent interpersonal, leadership, communication skills.

· Outstanding organizational and time management skills.

· Commensurate with experience
