Roles Available:

Test Engineer Intern – P&T – PXT Web Framework Team (1 role)

We are looking for a Test Engineer Intern to join our Web Framework team to build & enhance the UI foundations of the Dayforce solution.

Test Engineer Intern – Experience Services Team (1 Role)

We are looking for a Test Automation Engineer to devise quality automated tests for a key module, the Dayforce Hub. This will tailor the Dayforce experience with their branding and content through configurable widgets and styles. The goal is to increase employee engagement and alignment with organizational culture.

Test Engineer Intern – Development Team (1 role)

Hired person in this Internship position will closely work with development team and will directly report to the Development Manager. Intern will be primarily responsible for contributing to test automation activities including development of automation tests and testing of deliverables throughout the development life cycle. This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly growing innovator in a technically challenging and rewarding role. By working with team of software enthusiasts, you will develop deep technical expertise and gain valuable business and industry related experience.

Test Engineer Intern – Human Resources (2 roles)

We are looking for an Intern Test Automation Engineer to devise quality automated and actively participate in continuous quality improvements for the product and processes through automated tests

Help manage and improve our Automation Process. Think outside the box and determine the most efficient ways to utilize the best technology to accomplish our goals. We are passionate about the quality of our software and identifying new solutions to accomplish our goals

Test Engineer Intern – Talent Intelligence Team (2 role)

Hired Intern for this role will closely work with developers in the team and will directly report to the Development Manager. Intern will be primarily responsible for contributing to software development activities including development and testing of deliverables throughout the development life cycle. This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly growing innovator in a technically challenging and rewarding role. By working with team of software enthusiasts, you will develop deep technical expertise and gain valuable business and industry related experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with developers, QA analysts and product owners to produce stable, maintainable and reliable automated tests
• Identify and offer ways to improve code testability and maintainability
• Ensure automated tests are effectively covering new product features and associated requirements
• Participate in the creation and execution of test plans and test cases
• Investigate, report, and track product failures to resolution. Deal with the false-positives that come up with automated testing, ensuring the test suite remains up to date
• Actively participate in continuous application improvements by developing automated tests and in development of quality product and processes to deliver industry leading cloud based HCM solutions
• Identify and escalate issues related to plan and quality
• Improve and implement automation framework code to expand automated test coverage
• Ensure traceability between product requirements, delivered code and test case verification
• Actively participate in test automation initiatives, architect test harnesses and infrastructure frameworks to run automated tests
• Be adaptable in learning new methodologies and technologies to improve the automated testing processes

Qualifications:

• Smart and driven individual who is passionate about learning new technologies and building high quality cloud applications
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and relevant quality assurance concepts
• Passion for solving hard problems and knows how to have fun!
• Working knowledge of modern web technologies including: JavaScript, HTML, CSS 3, SVG, JSON, etc. from professional or academic projects
• In progress College or University degree course in Computer Science or related field
• Strong academic performance in courses regarding programming languages, algorithms and data structures, computer organization, and discrete mathematics.
• Experience with manual or automated testing of Android and iOS applications
• Disciplined self-starter, capable of working independently or in close collaboration within an agile development team
• Strong coding skills in a modern object-oriented language (e.g., C#, Java, C++)
• Working knowledge of modern relational databases architecture and SQL language through professional or academic projects
• Good understanding of software development principles and basic knowledge of writing code with use of OOP concepts

Nice to have:

• Strong understanding of programming knowledge and concepts with a front-end focus
• Experience working with SaaS Enterprise Software
• Experience working with C#
• Experience with .NET framework
• Experience working any of the following testing tools: Selenium, FitNesse, SpecFlow, Jenkins, JMeter, Cucumber, TestNG, Espresso, XCUITest or RESTful API services
• Experience working with enterprise cloud application
• Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) an asset. E.g. Umbraco, Orchard, Kentico, Joomla, Drupal, etc.
• Experience with modern JavaScript libraries such as Dojo, React, Angular, Ember, Backbone, etc.
• Experience with automated performance testing
