The Work
The AML/ATF department within Compliance is responsible for the management of the Bank’s AML/ATF risk through the implementation and monitoring of effective controls. The Analyst role is a multi-faceted one as responsibilities include completion of reporting to the regulator in a timely and accurate manner and providing support to the AML team and the business units. The environment is often fast-paced and requires the effective time management of multiple tasks and projects.
The Core Parts Of Your Role Would Be To
  • Work with the stakeholders and assist in the preparation and filing of reports to the regulator within defined timelines and in accordance with Equitable Bank’s policies and procedures
  • Personally responsible and accountable for self development and maintaining up to date knowledge, best practices, and skills relevant for the role
  • Provide support for Compliance projects, as required
  • Immediately escalates any issues, including system issues, to the Senior Manager
  • Supports the AML team with the regulatory record keeping duties to maintain the effectiveness of the Bank’s AML/ATF Compliance Program and the integrity of data reported to the CAMLO, Senior Management and the Board of Directors
  • Completes other administrative and reconciliation activities as requested by Senior Manager
  • Update and maintain files ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and thoroughness with an emphasis on quality
Let’s Talk About You!
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Post-secondary education (diploma/degree) preferably in business or finance
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and internet/web navigation
  • Minimum 1 year work experience in a computerized environment/ financial organization preferred, but not required
  • Intermediate to advanced work experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to respond in a clear, concise, and professional manner
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills

The incumbent will be working hybrid and in office time will be spent working from Equitable Bank’s additional office space located at 351 King Street East, Toronto, ON.
