About the IT Team

The Information Technology Operations Team is responsible for running the Service Desk and providing end to end support for all technology-related inquiries at GWL. The team provides key insights for ongoing business projects related to the procurement of new technologies and ongoing support / upgrading of existing technologies. The Service Desk is the single point of contact for all incidents, troubleshooting, and implementing dynamic solutions in real time.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Analyze and resolve end-user issues which includes software or hardware problems.
• Assist IT team with end-to-end process improvement including creating process flow and standard operating procedure documentation
• Assist project teams with coordination of project execution, which would involve application, infrastructure, network, and information security. (Note: Based on the area of interest, this is a good opportunity to expand specific knowledge and experience further)
• Assist in business analysis planning, which includes facilitating business requirements sessions to creating requirements with multiple stakeholders.
• Participate in technology solution research and innovation based on Business needs and priority.
• Participate and assist application team in software enhancement and testing

Qualifications:

• Ability to analyze and think critically
• Currently enrolled in relevant undergraduate program and area of interest
• Relevant work and extra-curricular experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent soft skills and drive to succeed
• Significant enthusiasm for and knowledge of our Group of Companies
• Takes a proactive and collaborative approach to working in a team
• Minimum of a 3.5 GPA or equivalent
• Strong interpersonal skills
