Job Summary

Reporting to the QA Supervisor, the successful co-op student will be responsible for verifying and measuring incoming parts that are flagged for inspection to make sure company standards are met and specifications are matched against engineering drawings. The co-op student will also be working with the team members on calibrating shop equipment.

Work Term: Winter 2024 Co-op (Jan - April 2024)

Work Arrangement: On-Site, 5 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Record and maintain inspection and calibration records
• Complete a 4-month co-op work term for Winter 2024
• Participate, when necessary, in troubleshooting and problem solving
• Approval of finished products for shipment involving visual verification, mechanical inspection and electrical testing
• Collect and summarize quality reports monthly
• Calibration of mechanical and electrical instrument measuring equipment
• Collaborate with assemblers and production personnel on quality inspections
• Read and interpret part and assembly drawings

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills
• Keen interest in design and manufacturing
• Some manufacturing experience is an asset
• A team player
• Pursuing a degree/diploma in Mechanical/Electromechanical Engineering
