Our Organization


Through our National Diabetes Trust operations, we divert more than 48 million kilograms of clothing and household items from landfills. One hundred per cent of net proceeds directly supports Diabetes Canada and helps send more than 2,400 children and youth with Type 1 diabetes to Diabetes Canada's D-Camps. Additionally, what we raise, funds world-leading diabetes research, education, and advocacy.

What We Offer


  • Base salary plus commission which is based on the number of new bin placements acquired.

Job Overview


Reporting to the Director Business Development, the Territory Sales Representative, is responsible for finding, developing, and closing new business within a defined geographic territory.


Some Highlights Of This Role Include


  • Set appointments with prospects and present programs
  • 6 months term position, hours 8:30am - 4:30pm Monday- Friday
  • Provide clients with the highest levels of customer service throughout the entire sales life cycle and promptly resolve customer problems and complaints
  • Represent NDT at seminars, conferences, and workshops
  • Develop and qualify leads within respective territory to drive new business opportunities
  • Consistently meet quota and revenue goals
  • Grow and maintain business relationships with current customers for continued expansion of NDT programs
  • Identify local business opportunities and challenges by conducting daily prospecting for new clients
  • Promote, sell, and secure orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach
  • Additional duties as required ensuring the effective operation of the NDT Business Development function
  • Perform and negotiate all direct sales functions and closing new business partnerships


About You


The selected candidate for this Term Position Territory Sales Representative role will meet the following minimum requirements:


  • Access to own vehicle, valid insurance on the vehicle, and a valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a cross-functional team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • 3-5 years B2B outside sales experience
  • Familiarity with a CRM
  • Strong work ethics, “Hunter” sales mentality, goal driven and self-motivated
  • Fully computer literate in Microsoft Office
  • College Diploma or University Degree in Business, Marketing, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Organized, self-disciplined, and professional in demeanor
  • Proven prospecting abilities
  • Skillful negotiation, presentation, and closing abilities
  • Proven track record of meeting and/or exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent communication skills oral and written
  • Positive and enthusiastic
  • Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, energetic team player
