We design, manufacture, and install all kinds of material handling equipment in manufacturing facilities throughout the GTA and South-Central Ontario.
We are seeking a dynamic professional to join our team as aMechanical Site Supervisor/Junior Project Manager. The Mechanical Site Supervisor/Junior Project Manager is accountable for directing, organizing, and controlling project activities under the direction of the project management team. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial installation projects, including an in-depth knowledge of job-site safety, rigging, millwrighting, utility piping and electrical services. He or she will be expected to manage multiple projects simultaneously, providing technical project leadership while guiding projects to successful on-time and on-budget completion. Strong written and verbal communication skills, combined with quick problem-solving abilities will be key ingredients in your success in this role.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Must be available to work overtime (weekends) per the needs of the business
- Work with team of skilled tradespeople within a plant environment, coordinating with supervisors, project management and our manufacturing team to fabricate, install, remove and service a variety of conveying and automation equipment
- Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards
- Set and maintain job-site standards for health and safety
- Work with project management, customers and coworkers to develop and document a scope of work for customer projects
- Work with project management and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery, by managing scope of work, cost, schedule, quality and customer expectations
Qualifications, Skills and Attitude:
- Strong leadership skills, with ability to effectively motivate others
- Project Management degree or diploma (PMP, GSC, CPMP, etc.) considered an asset
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant software, and generally be "tech-savvy"
- Journeyman’s license (Millwright, Electrical, etc.) considered an asset
- Three year's experience in industrial installations and/or industrial project management
- Proven organization and multi-tasking skills
- Strong negotiating skills; exceptional verbal and written communication
- Entrepreneurial work ethic with strong drive to see project through completion
- Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites throughout the GTA and South-Central Ontario, valid G drivers license and personal vehicle are required.
- Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced team environment and work to timelines
- Knowledge of manufacturing industry regulations, standards and practices
