Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Low-Rise Site Supervisor to join our dynamic team. As a Low-Rise Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction activities on our low-rise residential projects. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that construction progresses smoothly, adhering to the project's timelines, quality standards, and safety regulations. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent organizational skills, and extensive knowledge of low-rise construction practices.
Responsibilities:
- Construction Oversight: Supervise all construction activities on low-rise residential projects, including single-family homes, townhouses, and small-scale apartment buildings.
- Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of skilled tradespeople, laborers, and subcontractors. Assign tasks, provide guidance, and ensure the efficient utilization of resources.
- Project Planning: Collaborate with project managers and architects to understand project requirements, timelines, and specifications. Develop detailed work plans and ensure adherence to construction schedules.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain a keen eye for detail and ensure that all construction work meets high-quality standards and adheres to relevant building codes and regulations.
- Safety Compliance: Prioritize safety on the construction site and enforce compliance with occupational health and safety regulations. Conduct regular safety inspections and address potential hazards promptly.
- Material Management: Oversee the procurement and delivery of construction materials. Ensure accurate inventory control and timely availability of required materials.
- Problem-solving: Proactively identify construction-related challenges and work towards effective solutions. Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve any issues that may arise during the construction process.
- Reporting: Prepare regular progress reports for project managers, highlighting achievements, challenges, and any deviations from the construction plan.
- Client Communication: Interact with clients, addressing their queries, and providing updates on project progress when necessary.
- Environmental Sustainability: Promote eco-friendly construction practices and ensure the implementation of sustainable building methods where possible.
Requirements:
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Proven experience as a Site Supervisor in low-rise residential construction projects.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of low-rise construction methods, materials, and best practices.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Problem-solving mindset and the ability to handle unforeseen challenges.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications in construction safety and project management.
- A degree or diploma in construction management or a related field.
