Security Site Supervisor Jobs

Securiguard is looking for an energetic and motivated Security Site Supervisor for a high-profile corporate site in Vancouver. Maintaining the daily operation of the site schedule and effectively leading, supervising and mentoring a team.

Location: Downtown Vancouver

Job Summary

• Operation of the building management system, including managing access control, controlling elevator access, and conducting security investigations as required.
• Manage and lead a team of security professionals in a 24/7 office environment.
• Daily communications and coordination with building operators and tenants.

Job Duties

• Provide top quality customer service to all guests and tenants of the building.
• Appointed to the leadership role of Chief Safety Warden during building emergencies.
• Respond to emergency or urgent site situations, evaluate and recommend or initiate appropriate action, secure the site as necessary, liaise/co-ordinate with applicable law, fire, medical or site officials, ensure that post orders are adhered to and confirm/ensure the safety of Securiguard personnel and our clients.
• Supervisors are expected to present themselves at all times in a professional, courteous and well-dressed manner, and may expect to be occasionally called upon to act as liaison between Account Managers and clients.
• Ensure the proper supplying and stocking of First Aid equipment.
• Assess site officer performance and initiate corrective/training action or the more serious issuance of a Corrective Action Report.
• Review e-mails and check the pass on to plan the shift duties accordingly.
• Review officer reports in TrackTik. All incidents are to be investigated by the supervisor, including the review of BMS logs and CCTV.
• Attend weekly building operations team meetings.
• Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by Management.
• Train and mentor officers on site duties and protocols, as well as site conduct, deportment, reporting procedures, and company policy/procedures.
• Coordinate operation of the building with building operations, tenants, and third parties.
• Include all daily activities in a daily report log for review by fellow staff in a concise and detailed format.

Requirements

• A positive, professional, and enthusiastic attitude is an imperative in dealing with both Securiguard, clients, or other personnel
• OFA 2 certification is required.
• 3-5 years of Security industry experience required.
• Strong communicator with assertive interpersonal skills, sensitivity and team player are critical to success.
• Demonstrated attributes in supervision, decision making, organizing, problem solving, analytical skill, interpersonal sensitivity and tolerance are required.
• Valid Security Worker License required.
• Basic computer skills required. Advanced computer skills preferred.
• 1-3 years of Security supervisory experience preferred.
• Effective and professional written and oral skills are necessary to minimize communication errors.
