About The Position

Currently, Houle is searching for a dedicated Project Manager/Estimator to join our BC Interior Services group in our Kamloops Office.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Electrical Service Manager and will work closely with the field and office teams to achieve project performance, budget and schedule targets.

The Project Manager/Estimator performs a wide range of duties including estimating smaller jobs and repairs, managing service work order and project process flow including scheduling, invoice closeout and customer satisfaction follow up.

Project Manager/ Estimator Responsibilities/Duties

• Estimate project costs, changes, and submit tenders
• Work with clients and identify potential business opportunities
• Review contracts for onerous clauses and conditions
• Ensure that as-built drawings are completed and sent to the customers as applicable
• Maintain good relationship with suppliers, consultants, general contractors and end users
• Manage project financials (including billing), purchasing, schedules and labour
• Arrange for project manuals/Power quality reports to be completed
• Work with the Service Manager, Coordinators, and Service Electricians to develop service work and small project scheduling

Experience And Skills

• Strong attention to detail
• FSR A or B an asset
• Good organizational skills
• Previous experience with estimating programs, specifically Accubid an asset
• Good computer skills including MS Office
• 2-3 years' experience in Electrical Project Management and/or Estimating
• Experience as a Service Electrician or working for a small electrical company an asset
• Good communication skills
• Electrical trade certificate, Electrical Engineering degree or Electrical Technologist diploma/certificate
