Senior Technical Support Analyst

What is the opportunity?

As a Business Support Analyst, with the RBC Insurance Sub-Ledger team, you will work with partners across T&O and various business lines to ensure technology is understood and business queries are addressed with a focus on ensuring the client experience is industry leading. With access to various tools, you will have the ability to contribute in a meaningful way towards positive business results by identifying client impacting trends.

What will you do?

• Develop strong working relationships with key partners supporting Insurance business
• Responsible for addressing business enquiries and recommending solutions
• Participate as a SME for establishing new RBC Insurance Sub-Ledger team
• Recommend process improvement when deficiencies are recognized
• Act as a liaison between the Production Support group, Development, Business and Vendor
• Be a self-starter and identify continuous improvement opportunities and work collaboratively with Site Reliability Engineering teams (SRE) to help optimize performance to reduce costs

Must Have:

• Ability to manage expectations/ requirements with cross functional teams and stakeholders
• 3-5 years’ experience in a Production Support focused function or role
• 2-3 years’ experience in an Accounting background
• Ability to do data analysis using SQL queries in Oracle, MS-SQL
• Finance knowledge like journals, posting, assets and liabilities
• Excellent communications and facilitation skills
• Ability to analyze complex problems and find resolution
• Understand concepts of Canadian Insurance domain

Nice to have:

• CPA
• Exposure with Hive/Hadoop
• Aptitude product knowledge
