Senior Manager, Vendor Management (Toronto, On)

This position will lead a team of Vendor Analysts in addition to taking responsibility of vendor contracts, performance, procurement strategy, and risk management.

This is a hands-on leadership role reporting directly to the Director of Vendor Management.

Responsibilities

• Driving the procurement acquisition strategy.
• Establishing metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the procurement team.
• Advising and coaching as you lead strategic and tactical efforts.
• Ensuring continuous procurement process improvement.
• Delivering best-in-class products and services across the organization.
• Developing a high-performance functioning unit responsible for supporting all technology supplier and procurement-related functions.
• Establishing procurement processes and procedures that balance cost, risk, and speed.
• Leading the negotiation strategy for small, medium, large, and complex contracts and dealing with any issues/disputes that may arise.

What You Will Have

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain/procurement, or a related field is required.
• 5+ years experience in procurement with a solid understanding of the entire vendor lifecycle.
• Staying informed of global products and services market and trends.
• Experience developing an effective and high-impact procurement strategy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to be able to work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders as well as a portfolio of vendors.
• Proven ability to achieve superior results from leading the procurement function team.
• Familiarity with relevant regulatory and industry requirements
• Experience reviewing & negotiating contracts is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience successfully leading a team in the management of vendors/third parties, reviewing policies, performance, vendor risk, relationships, and contracts.
