The Manager, Sales on the Toronto FC vertical is responsible for leading all functions related to ticket sales. Leading a team of Account Managers/Account Executives, and Assistant Manger. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating revenue through the sale of full season memberships, partials, and single game tickets. Candidates must have a passion to support the growth of football in Toronto and beyond. This individual’s energy is infectious and possesses a positive outlook and sheer determination to achieve what others only dream about. The individual is a proactive, goal-oriented professional with a positive track record of sales success and the ability to encourage, mentor and develop a growing sales team.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead prospecting calls and sales presentations to customers as necessary and as a developmental opportunity for your team
  • Build quarterly and annual business plans that strategically guide day-to-day ticket sales efforts for the team including inventory management, pricing, and prospect pipeline management
  • As required, generate new revenue as an individual contributor by selling season tickets and partial plans
  • Inspire and champion an environment of equity where the team feels safe to be themselves, valued for their contributions, and can do their best work while having fun
  • Lead existing business and build innovative programs to drive new business and expand our football audience
  • Implement new strategies and techniques based on industry standard methodologies, research, and data
  • Design and lead all aspects of CRM reporting protocols within Salesforce to evaluate team/individual performance
  • Support sales reps in effort to achieve targets, continuously supervising efficiency levels and assess their performance on a quarterly basis
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to achieve single ticket revenue objectives, production of ticket sales content and the creation of marketing collateral and material (i.e. Season ticket templates/fliers, brochures, etc.)
  • Work in conjunction with the membership team to support overarching football vertical ticketing objectives
  • Establish individual and work collaboratively within internal business partners on annual Toronto FC ticket sales objectives
  • Mentor and encourage a team of sales professionals to grow the Toronto FC ticket sales business to achieve annual revenue and expense targets
  • Strategically align and work collaboratively with other commercial departments to create cross-selling opportunities and programs

  • Solid campaign management experience and organizational skills including the ability to set and drive requirements through peers across multiple functional areas
  • Systematic, self-motivated, and detail oriented with demonstrated creativity in problem solving and innovation
  • Proven record of accomplishment in people development, coaching and culture building. You are proud of the development of people and culture and can demonstrate success in this area
