Position: Project Manager/Leader - Intermediate
Location: Toronto, Ontario (Hybrid)
Duration:Long Term Contract
Must Have
- Project Management Skills - Demonstrated experience in managing project activities across multiple complex technology projects involving network design, network implementation, civil structures, user equipment distribution and operations.
- Communication and Relationship Management - Demonstrated experience to act independently and make decisions that achieve optimal results with minimal supervision
- Vendor, Procurement, and Contract Management - Experience interpreting, analyzing and managing vendor commitments to ensure contractual obligations are met
Experience and Skill Set Requirements
- Financial management of project as necessary or if needed
- Ensure project implementation plans have no adverse impact to public safety operations.
- Managing deliverables and dependencies that cross multiple in-flight projects
- Interacting directly with ministry clients, business partners, and project team members to develop and maintain strong ongoing relationships, always looking for opportunities to improve client satisfaction
- Support project managers in the execution of procurements and change orders with vendors
- Creating or supporting development of project artifacts, Briefing Notes, Change Requests, Contracts, Request for Bid (RFBs) etc.
- Managing vendors, stakeholders, and peer groups across ministries.
- Manage the processing of project & contract change requests
- Manage the execution of Service Requests for new services from vendors

- Managing deliverables and dependencies that cross multiple in-flight projects
- Proactively identifying risks and issues pertaining to the assigned work package, report them to the overall Project Champions and the Portfolio Team. Identify and mitigate strategies and responses to the issues and risks.

- Public Sector experience.
- Project management and vendor management
- Experience supporting the analysis and execution of vendor contract deliverables, including change management (RFCs, Change Orders), including writing content and providing advice
- Managing large-scale, complex, integrated project plans
- Managing vendors, stakeholders, and peer groups across ministries.
- Supporting the PSRN Program by proactively identifying, communicating, and managing multi-faceted client-facing risks and issues to deliver a superior customer service experience and to support efficient and effective project delivery.
- As needed, independently manage, and execute complete procurements life cycle
- Developing complex network transition and migration strategies with cross stream dependencies including vendor activities
- Manage the overall change process including obtaining vendor quotations and facilitating the required approvals
- Developing and presenting ministry-specific dashboards, reports, and other project management collateral
- Creating or supporting development of project artifacts, Briefing Notes, Change Requests, Contracts, Request for Bid (RFBs) etc.

- This is for a Procurement Project Manager. The successful candidate will be required to manage several Statements of Work including service and construction of procurement documents (RFS, RFB, etc.). They will need to have strong contract management experience and be able to read contracts and engage with vendors. They will be consulting and advising a number of parties.

- Prepare briefing notes, conduct vendor meetings and liaison with other procurement and legal departments as per the need
