Based in the Okanagan region, our client is a company with an inclusive culture that values trust, humility, and urgency. Our client is experiencing rapid growth and is currently looking for a Senior FP&A Analyst to join the team. Reporting to the Director of FP&A based in a stunning office environment, you will be responsible for providing financial support and guidance to the winery teams, digging into analytical support, preparation of financial forecasts & budgets, and contributing to the overall financial acumen of the team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new reports using Excel or BI that connect data from multiple sources.
- Lead the annual budget process.
- Assist in the preparation and review of financial scenarios for sales, marketing, & operations to drive financial improvements.
- Ensure continuous business partnering with the Finance team to drive efficiencies, improved forecasting, and provide clarity to business leads.
- Assist with projects and presentations as needed.
- Enhance financial acumen throughout the organization.
- Super-user for FP&A financial reporting tools (TM1/BI), working closely with the IT group to create data efficiencies.
- Develop and own the quarterly forecasting/annual budgeting process.
- Advance and develop financial modeling tools for the FP&A team, driving added efficiencies and insights.
- Provide advanced analytical support with timely and accurate reporting of financial performance.
- Track financial performance vs. plan and prior year; add insights and highlight risks and opportunities.
- Prepare ad-hoc analysis as required.
- Drive continued efficiencies within the overall process while driving clear outputs and insights.
- Develop reports in BI tools (Tableau, Qlik, etc.) that can be used to drive management reporting and KPI creation.
Requirements:
- Working towards or completed a professional designation required (CPA).
- Valid BC Driver's License.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive financial analysis experience.
- Experience in the beverage industry or CPG industry is desired.
- Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Able to work independently from a 'blank-page' and leverage experience to create value-add reporting models.
- Ability to translate data into useful information and communicate key findings to non-finance stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and lead others.
- Proven ability to lead others, effectively delegate tasks, and ensure accuracy and timely delivery of FP&A outputs.
- Completed bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field.
- A detail-oriented, organized, and analytical team player who is eager to learn.
- Extensive knowledge of spreadsheets/excel and data reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik, etc.).
