Job Description
On behalf of our client, Procom is currently seeking a Network Technical Analyst for a six (6) month engagement based in Burnaby, British Columbia. This role will require consultants to visit multiple sites throughout the Lower Mainland.


Network Technical Analyst Job Details


  • Support the vendor pre-field, staging, and implementation activities for circuit replacement.
  • Coordinate vendor decommissioning of legacy metro circuit.
  • Ability to replace core switches. (Migration of settings from legacy to new, etc.)
  • Ability to replace edge switches. (Migration of settings from legacy to new, etc.)
  • Provide support with additional hardware components related to the work above.
  • Physical labour related to the work above.
  • Coordinate with vendor to replace a legacy Metro circuit with a new CE circuit.
  • Configure routing, firewall and NAT policies on internet firewalls.
  • Provide network implementation / production cutover services outside of normal business hours, as required.
  • Site preparation for installation(s).


Network Technical Analyst Mandatory Skills


  • Three (3) years of demonstrated experience with network equipment implementation / planning, site assessments, application of network standards and network issue problem-solving / troubleshooting.
  • Four (4) years of recent data networking experience.
  • A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a university degree or technical diploma in a program such as communications technology plus appropriate vendor network certification


Network Technical Analyst Nice-To-Have Skills


  • Firewall (Palo Alto and Fortinet) configuration knowledge is an asset.
  • Load-balancer (F5) configuration knowledge is an asset


Network Technical Analyst Assignment Length


Six (6) month contract with the potential for three (3) extensions of six (6) months each.

Office located in Burnaby, British Columbia. Consultants will need to be mobile to visit sites across the Lower Mainland to perform upgrades in person.
