Configures, tests, installs and maintains network equipment, servers, PCs, terminals, printers and interfaced instruments, telephones and telephone network equipment.

Specific Qualifications or Experience Required:

Onsite work to gather information required for VOIP phone deployment

Onsite work to deploy new VOIP handsets

Diagnose and locate equipment faults, and adjust, replace or repair telecommunications equipment

Inspect and test operation of telecommunications equipment

Install, arrange, remove and maintain telephone equipment, wiring and associated hardware

Four (4) years of recent data networking experience.

Load-balancer (F5) configuration knowledge is an asset

Firewall (Palo Alto and Fortinet) configuration knowledge is an asset.

Network Technical Analyst Mandatory Skills

Configure routing, firewall and NAT policies on internet firewalls.

Coordinate with vendor to replace a legacy Metro circuit with a new CE circuit.

Support the vendor pre-field, staging, and implementation activities for circuit replacement.

Coordinate vendor decommissioning of legacy metro circuit.

Proficiency in change request management processes, including impact assessment, risk analysis, and change implementation.

Strong understanding of roll-out design principles, project management methodologies, and resource allocation.

Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst, focusing on network device authentication, preferably in a government or regulated environment.

Extensive knowledge of network device authentication protocols, such as RADIUS, TACACS+, LDAP, and 802.1X.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, goals, deliverables, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.

Conduct regular project status meetings, prepare progress reports, and communicate project updates to stakeholders and senior management.

Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.

Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements related to network security and authentication (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR) is desirable.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, security specialists, and stakeholders, to define project requirements and objectives.

Experience in implementing network device authentication protocols such as 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS+, or similar technologies.

Presents technical design and reports to customers and/or other engineering/management groups in clear, complete, concise and non-ambiguous terms.

Proposes work package estimates and descriptions based on the knowledge of the work and project requirements.

Knowledge/experience in site deployment and commissioning of networks

Cyber-security principles, technologies and solutions; Knowledge/experience in the following fields is desired:

Similarly, creates new concepts or modifies existing concepts to fulfil customer requirements.

Prepares system, subsystem, and interface requirement specifications by analysing, decomposing modelling and refining customer requirements and typical train control domain requirements.
