Job Title: Technical Business Analyst - Network Device Authentication Specialist
:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Business Analyst with a specialization in Network Device Authentication to join our dynamic team. As a Technical Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in analyzing and improving our network device authentication systems while ensuring compliance with the highest security standards. This position requires extensive experience in Change Requests, Roll Out Design, and Government of Canada practices.
Responsibilities:
- Network Device Authentication Expertise: Utilize your in-depth knowledge of network device authentication protocols, standards, and best practices to assess, design, and enhance our authentication systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement robust and secure authentication processes.
- Change Request Management: Lead the analysis and evaluation of change requests related to network device authentication. Coordinate with stakeholders to understand requirements, identify potential risks, and recommend appropriate solutions. Conduct impact assessments and facilitate smooth transitions for approved changes.
- Roll Out Design: Develop comprehensive roll-out plans for network device authentication initiatives. Collaborate with project managers, technical teams, and stakeholders to define project scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements. Ensure efficient and effective implementation of authentication solutions across the organization.
- Government of Canada Experience: Leverage your expertise in Government of Canada practices, policies, and security protocols to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and regulations pertaining to network device authentication in a government environment.
- Requirements Gathering and Documentation: Collaborate with business users, IT teams, and other stakeholders to gather and document requirements related to network device authentication. Translate business needs into technical specifications and user stories for development teams. Ensure clear and concise documentation of system configurations, procedures, and processes.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in the network device authentication environment. Conduct risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and recommend appropriate controls to maintain a secure and resilient authentication infrastructure.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including business units, vendors, and government agencies, to understand their requirements, address concerns, and provide regular updates on authentication initiatives. Foster strong relationships and effective communication to ensure successful collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst, focusing on network device authentication, preferably in a government or regulated environment.
- Certifications related to network security and business analysis (e.g., CCNA, CBAP) are desirable.
- Familiarity with Government of Canada practices, policies, and security frameworks, such as ITSG-33 and Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
- Strong understanding of roll-out design principles, project management methodologies, and resource allocation.
- Extensive knowledge of network device authentication protocols, such as RADIUS, TACACS+, LDAP, and 802.1X.
- Proficiency in change request management processes, including impact assessment, risk analysis, and change implementation.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
