JOB DETAILS:

Title: Technical Business Analyst (Strong Data Analysis & Testing skills)

Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada

Full time, Permanent, Hybrid

The group is responsible for building a FOBO (Front office to Back office) Strategic Data Regulatory Warehouse comprising of several data focused initiatives.

Primary responsibility of the candidate will be supporting development and lead the requirements, design and UAT activities across asset classes with business/technology groups in NAM. Good experience in Capital Markets post trade activities will be a must.

The candidate will Work closely with business partners to gather complex reporting requirement. The position will require the candidate to perform data analysis to validate business requirement. Analyze impact of proposed solution across the business, develop use cases to explain/demonstrate business requirements/specifications to IT team, and contribute a business or process perspective during design reviews. Provide IT test plans, and ensure that the proper testing plans have been completed.

Required Skills

· 8+ years of working in various data management initiatives, ideally with experience working in data warehousing and data strategy and having functional knowledge of Securities Lifecycle (cross products)

· Extremely strong Data Analytical skills along with an ability to work with numerous business and technology teams to gather requirements, document them and convert them to functional requirements

· Proactively communicate and collaborate with the application clients to gather business and functional requirements and deliver artifacts such as FRD, BRD, Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface designs.

· Ability to work in an agile environment

· Work with business to understand the landscape of operations and identify areas of improvement, suggest technology solutions.

· Understand and prepare work/data flows for various systems especially focused on Finance/Network Management using technology tools such as Visio, Power point.

· Work with technical developers, translate the business requirements, create project plans, track and execute work tasks against the plans.

· Write SQL queries to extract data, understand patterns, relationships amongst disparate data sets and be able to harmonize them.

· Perform logical data modeling and establishing proposed system flows.

· Ensure we have buy-in from all the stakeholders and track issues and manage project risks

· Facilitates team and client meetings effectively and holds regular status meetings with development team.

· Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.

· Manages the process of innovative change effectively.

· Strong Analytical, Problem solving, negotiation skills
