Samsung Canada is looking for a candidate who can propose system environment changes to meet fast changing eCOMM operation and business processes.
The Technical Systems Analyst will troubleshoot technical issues on regular basis and work closely with IT and other cross-functional business resources to deliver successful resolution. The Analyst looks for systems and process efficiencies as well as participating in various system-related projects.
This role works primarily with SAP and HYBRIS. It will also work with SQL Server, File Transfer Management, and other systems as required.
Role And Responsibilities
  • Daily systems monitoring, analyzing and issue resolution, reporting.
  • Support all technology projects and provide strategic solutions to operational issues.
  • Gather and document business requirements from meetings and discussions.
  • Participate in projects delivering technical support and systems details.
  • Analyze systems and business processes to identify gaps, work with HQ providing solutions.
  • Ensure all tiers of support requests are handled on a timely basis.
  • Flexibility in work schedule may be required on peak business period (i.e. month-end).
  • Contribute to business decision making by providing systems solution and daily support.
  • Coordinate development and test new functionality in related systems, document results.
Education/Knowledge/Experience
  • Work together with key partners and stakeholders via internal approval system.
  • Ability to learn and apply gained knowledge to practice, programming experience.
  • Presentation skills when providing solutions to leadership
  • Creativity. Ability to think around problems and come up with creative solutions is helpful.
  • Friendly presence and helpful attitude; good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills to investigate problems and system issues, and provide solutions.
  • 3+ years working experience with leading eCommerce systems (HYBRIS is an asset)
  • Flexibility to work overtime and under pressure while meeting tight deadline, ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Fundamental knowledge of systems analysis, network and application management tasks.
  • Korean speaking an asset
  • Basic understanding of payment process from various entities (Cybersource, PayPal, VISA, MasterCard).
  • Knowledge of broad range of relevant computer systems and applications.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of file-transfer technology as it relates to data interface between various systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Office and strong skills in Excel VBA, SQL would be appreciated.
  • Good problem solving skills; ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it.
  • Understanding of business process: order management, logistics, billing in ERP environment (SAP preferable).
  • University degree or College equivalent in IT related area preferred
  • Work independently to resolve complex technical issues.
