You will be...

• Evaluating key drivers in our core sectors, and preparing industry/ sector analyses
• Preparing and structuring investment memoranda
• Making meaningful contributions to the team with your personality and your professional knowledge
• Researching and contributing to the positioning of our M&A mandates
• Given direct responsibility for critical phases of the M&A process with direct client contact

We will...

• Work closely with our San Francisco office for training and coverage of the North American market
• Offer you (typically after the first year) access to our secondment program, where you can spend 3-6 months living in a different city while working at another Carlsquare office

We look for...

• Someone who brings their ‘whole self’ to work - we like to think of ourselves as “corporate finance with a personality”
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in investment banking/ transaction services/ strategy consulting/ public accounting
• Standout analytical, conceptual and communication skills, paired with a very high attention to detail
• A self-starter invested in building a new office, capable of independently producing high quality work on short timelines
• Strong ability in Excel and PowerPoint. Some financial modelling experience would be beneficial, but not required
• An undergraduate degree from a top university, often with a focus in finance, accounting or a similar quantitative discipline. A relevant financial credential (CPA/ CFA) is also beneficial

This pivotal hire will be a key part of our Canadian growth plans and is anticipated to start around November 1st, 2023. This role is primarily in-person.
