Warehouse Worker: M-F Dayshift

We are currently looking for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Worker to join our growing team in our Distribution Centre pipe yard located in Abbotsford, BC! The Order Picker's responsibility is to accurately and quickly service a very fast paced client base while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards in the industry. Pipe and fittings Pickers are required to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly, must possess knowledge and skill in FIFO principals, as well as RF scanning equipment and be prepared to meet any challenge.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload trucks and replenish stock when required
• Complete work in the prescribed sequence to ensure deliver-by-date is met, as well as all quality, efficiency, and safety targets
• Maintain a strict housekeeping standards in accordance with 5S protocols
• Report any unsafe work conditions, accidents/injuries and/or near-misses in a timely basis
• Complete daily pre-inspections of warehousing equipment (ie: Order Pickers and Reach Trucks) when operating
• Once properly trained, operate all warehouse equipment effectively and safely
• Complete cycle counts and participate in the annual inventory count process
• Receive and locate product using RF technology in alignment with company processes
• Accurately pick, stack, wrap and stage outbound freight

Requirements

• The successful candidate will be required to successfully complete a security background check
• Completion of high-school or equivalent
• Previous experience in working in a distribution and/or logistics environment, specifically picking orders
• Excellent communication, both written and verbal
• Must have a positive disposition and work well with others
• Must have the ability to work with metric and imperial measurement systems
• Experience/certification in forklift operation and safety practices would be considered an asset
• Proven experience working with Radio Frequency (RF) scanners
