Senior Financial Analyst Iii, Servicing (Fp&A)

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis, the Senior Financial Analyst III is responsible for providing operational and organizational support to strategic planning and forecasting & analysis. The role contributes to the overall evolution of how the Bank views its portfolio and the movements within.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

• Contributes analysis on Volume and NIM by running what-if scenarios for business partners to act as a sounding board for new program spend tactics.
• Participates in the annual budgeting process covering both short range (1year) and longer range (5 yr) strategy window.
• Models complex rate amortization schedules of NIM-level expenses using inputs from the business and the Senior Manager, FP&A.
• Acts as a key figure for NIM and portfolio analytics relating to the Bank’s lending portfolio, including deal pipeline, balance sheet composition, and metrics with a particular focus on flows relating to refinancing, renewals, runoff and NIM Servicing program expenses
• Contributes to the evolution of the Bank's NIM and volume approach.
• Communicates data driven insights of complex information in a concise manner to management and in board-level reporting
• Prepares and maintains capital forecasts, including scenarios analysis to support management decision making
• Maintains the Bank's renewal margin-related models.
• Partners with the Business to maintain awareness of volume and margin-related renewal pipeline information as well as operating expense trends
• Ad hoc analysis for portfolio data needs and Senior Management Team business decision.
• Provide expertise as a subject matter expert in Alteryx and Adaptive, preparing and advising on workflows to improve efficiency and reports for management consumption

Qualifications & Experience:

Degrees, Diplomas & Certifications:

• The position requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration or equivalent, and an accounting designation (CPA, CMA, CA, MBA or CFA.)

Years and Range of Experience Required to Perform the Job:

• Technically adept, confident using Tableau and Adaptive Insights. Experience with Alteryx is an asset
• Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong communicator, able to present technical topics to non-technical audiences (both orally and written.)
• Strong financial acumen, along with MS Excel and data manipulation experience.
• The position requires 3-5 years’ experience with very strong conceptual math skills, especially related to rate-based calculations.
