Job Summary

Equinix Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) is responsible for providing financial leadership to support and challenge decisions pertaining to the profitability and financial health of the company.  FP&A is primarily responsible for forecasting, budgeting, reporting, analysis and business partnering.  The FP&A team aims to deliver high quality, relevant, timely and accurate financial and non-financial information to enable key decision making and strategic direction.  The group is designed to provide highly motivated and skilled individuals career development opportunities at a growing company.

The FP&A Senior Analyst will support Equinix in the various quarterly forecasting and analysis both internally and externally to enable Equinix leadership to make key decisions.  This role will work with each of the regional FP&A teams and various cross functional teams to develop a consolidated view of the Equinix’s long-term and short-term forecast.  The FP&A Senior Analyst will also assist in ad hoc analysis, system upgrade implementation/testing and global forecasting accuracy improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage net operating income (NOI) reporting and analysis of results for earnings presentation
• Facilitate regional and functional LTM review meetings with the regional FP&A teams to understand changes in the forecast and impact to REIT Asset Test
• Support refreshing the quarterly REIT Asset Test including coordination inputs for DCF valuation and preparing the steering committee presentations. This requires working with cross functions (i.e. Tax, Treasury, Stock Services, external banks etc.)
• Utilize modeling skills to support adhoc budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning requests and analysis
• Compile capital expenditure results for forecasts, actuals, and budget at both a functional and global level while working closely with FP&A partners to understand trends and perform analysis for executive presentations
• Assist with special projects that support corporate, global, and local finance initiatives
• Manage strategic Long-Term Model (LTM) process including planning of globally managed components, coordination across the FP&A reporting matrix, preparation of standardized templates, consolidation of global metrics, and completing extensive analysis of business outlook and trends

Qualifications

• Experience working for a multinational organization, in a high growth, fast paced and dynamic global technology-driven environment strongly preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the confidence to routinely interact with an executive level audience
• Highly developed interpersonal style with emphasis on building strong long-term relationships particularly across various geographies and cross-functionally
• Hands on, can do attitude, results orientated, highly organized, detail-oriented able to handle complexity, ambiguity and time pressures
• A strong academic background with demonstrable commercial acumen.  Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
• Experienced user of Microsoft Office suite of products required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Other financial system product experience preferred (Oracle, Hyperion planning, etc.)
• 5+ years of experience in finance preferred. Experience in modeling and forecasting strongly preferred
