Job Purpose

Reporting to the Senior Manager, AML Finance, this position will support and assist with the planning, forecasting, budgeting and performance reporting/analytics for the AML Risk Program. The role will contribute to the overall success of the AML Risk Program by supporting both the AML Project Portfolio and Business as Usual Operations by ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed/ delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. The position will also be responsible for supporting the day to day operations of the AML Risk Program and Compliance projects. The primary focus of this position is to support the AML Risk Program by working with internal AML stakeholders and Business Line Finance teams to reconcile/develop financials for regulatory and management reporting purposes.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

Management Reporting, Governance, Forecasting

• Responsible for Compliance projects: processing of invoices, accruals (models/templates, reviews) and monthly OP forecast (files maintenance, consolidation and PPM load check)
• Supports the maintenance and production of forecasting models and reporting decks used to prepare monthly/quarterly management financial reports to AML and Business Line stakeholders.
• Communicate information to all necessary internal and external stakeholders, explaining Financial transactions and resolving related issues.
• Maintain/track all project funding artifacts and project FTE and contract resources.
• Investigate unusual expense variances identified by management and review related accounting records to ensure they are resolved.
• Responsible for ensuring project financials are reconciled across multiple systems (Smart Stream and CAPPM) and approving all Project Ideas within CAPPM.
• Support the Senior Manager, AML Finance in various ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
• Manage the month-end cut-off processes/deadlines for all AML Risk units.
• Supports financial operations and administration related to expenses and budgets that are part of AML Risk: processing of invoices, charge-backs; coordinating activities between business lines, managers and suppliers; reviewing actual costs booked in Smart Stream; reconciling GL reports with cost summaries; preparing and tracking accruals and prepaids, identifying and tracking outstanding issues with Accounting teams, and assisting in the annual budgeting process.
• Assist with month end closings including the preparation of monthly/quarterly accruals.
• Responsible for reconciling financials for the AML Program for regulatory and management reporting purposes
• Other duties as assigned by the Senior Manager

Customer Service and Relationship Management

• Partner with the AML Finance Reporting team to improve the AML forecast accuracy by providing details on accruals and SOW's.
• Partner with AML management teams to provide timely support, transparency of information, and insights to support effective decision making and resource allocation
• Communicate information to all necessary internal and external stakeholders, explaining Financial transactions and resolving related issues.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders (GPO, PMO, FCRMT and Corporate Functions Finance teams).

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role.

• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• University degree with major in Business, Finance or Accounting.
• Working towards a CPA/CFA or MBA would be an asset
• Strong planning and co-ordination skills required to simultaneously support multiple projects and complete deliverables on time.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented worker.
• Experience in developing/compiling management reports.
• Ability to build strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders including members of the management team of AML Risk
