Financial Analyst (Svp) Jobs

Role: Financial Analyst (SVP)

Location: Toronto, ON

Duration: 6+ Month (Possibility of conversion to FTE)

Position Responsibilities:

• Prepare local (Canadian) financial and regulatory reporting for our banking entities, a Schedule II and Schedule III bank respectively.

The banking businesses includes Treasury and Trade Solutions, Domestic Custody, Corporate & Private Banking, and Markets.

• Manage the implementation of, and adherence to, IFRS standards and new regulatory reporting requirements.

• Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

• Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.

• Proactively responding to changes in the regulatory environment.

• Coordinate with various internal teams (Internal Audit, Risk, etc.) to analyze and implement regulatory changes relating to FRTB-SA, plus CVA-BA

• Strong knowledge of Market Risk factors

• Implementing other ongoing changes to BCAR/LRR.

• Additional responsibilities as assigned from time-to-time.

Qualifications

• A professional accountant designation or equivalent experience.

• University degree in Business, Finance or Accounting is preferred.

• Six to ten years plus of progressive work experience (with a particular focus on regulatory reporting and process controls), in the financial services industry.

• Knowledge of banking products, and their regulatory requirements, is required.

• Proven analytic and problem-solving skills.

• Demonstrated leadership skills, with ability to influence and gain support for objectives.

• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

• Proficient computer skills, especially Excel.

• Knowledge of reporting and disclosure of Basel Capital Adequacy requirements, including daily monitoring of capital requirements
