Job Description

Senior Analyst, FP&A (Clinics)

This is a Hybrid position and preference will be given to GTA based applicants!


The Role

The Senior Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis will help the company grow by supporting the company’s Clinic planning function, deliver deeper clinic business insight, and help drive clinic performance.


Reporting to the Senior Manager, FP&A, this role will focus on being:

  • An identifier of key insights to enable improved operating performance
  • A critical financial partner to the Regional Director(s) (“RD”), Field Operations
  • The owner of the clinic budgets and forecasts for their region


Responsibilities:

  • Working with the RD(s) in their region, deliver the annual clinic budgets and periodic forecasts for that region
  • Measure the clinic performance against defined budgets, forecasts, and operational targets
  • Establish strong relationships with Regional and Operations Directors within their region
  • Develop and circulate relevant KPIs and tools for the field team to drive operational improvement
  • Collaborate with the clinic-focused FP&A team and work closely with Corporate FP&A functions
  • Deliver clear, concise, relevant, and timely reporting to the FP&A team on weekly or monthly basis, consistent with timelines required by the executive leadership team and IVC


Background, Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 to 4 years of previous accounting, finance
  • You aree comfortable working in a pet friendly environment, when visiting the office
  • Ability to work independently but as a part of a team
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Power BI
  • Basic knowledge of developing query/coding for data analytics, such as SQL, DAX, etc.
  • Proven strong financial modeling skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Economics or related discipline
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Advanced knowledge in MS Excel
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, organize and report information
  • Ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively with all levels of management
  • CFA or CPA is a strong asset
