About Our Client

Our client is rapidly growing and is seeking a talented Financial Analyst for a temporary contract opportunity that will be developing financial models, preparation and analysis of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts with a focus on cost optimization support.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Financial Analyst will be supporting budgeting and forecasting processes through the following:

• Maintain financial models and tools to support forecasting, budgeting, and planning activities, ensuring accuracy and consistency of data.
• Develops and distributes standard and ad-hoc monthly reporting
• Responds to written and verbal ad-hoc information requests from internal customers and others as assigned
• Assists with the development, preparation, and presentation of short- and long-range financial plans
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, incorporating inputs from various business units and departments.
• Provides analytical support and review of historical costs including P&L projections/forecasts, budgeting, and/or account analysis related to specific areas of the business

Qualifications

• Must have a designated CPA (CMA/CGA/CA)
• Advanced MS Excel and Hyperion experience with strong financial modeling skills and IT savvy
• 5 plus years of operational finance experience that includes financial modelling, planning, budgeting and forecasting
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
