This position will be based in Winnipeg and this is a hybrid position.
Your role
As Senior Communications Officer, you will execute a variety of marketing/communications strategies, projects and initiatives in support of Radio-Canada Regional Services. Creativity and initiative are required in this role.
Tasks

• Develop and produce promos for regional programs (TV, radio, digital) produced by regional stations, in accordance with network guidelines.
• Explore, experiment with and recommend traditional and digital strategies for a variety of products and initiatives, including digital ad platforms.
• Create and execute media relations and public relations strategies through social media.
• Gather and analyze data on communications campaigns.
• Work closely with local contributors to develop community engagement strategies and plans through sponsorship, partnership, and Radio-Canada-owned events or outreach.
• Support the Manager, Marketing Communications, in planning, creating and implementing marketing, communications and partnership initiatives; develop and execute plans aimed at reaching, converting and retaining audiences.
• Coordinate the implementation of promo campaigns, contests, ad placements and corporate advertising across a range of traditional platforms.

Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with the following:

• Experience with creating, sourcing and developing strong, engaging visuals for social media (images, graphics, video)
• Graduation from university or community college with a degree, diploma or certificate in marketing or communications, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• Demonstrated traditional and social media marketing experience as well as SEM experience (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, Google, etc.)
• Experience in community relations and event management
• Demonstrated superior communication, writing and editing skills in French; intermediate level in English
• Strong grasp of marketing principles, brand building and copywriting
• Five (5) or more years’ experience in communications, promotion or marketing
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
• Ability to travel when deemed appropriate
• Bilingualism required (French and English)
• Ability to plan and execute photo and video assignments through hands-on production
• Experience with social analytics and reporting
