Global Spread Products (GSP) is the primary source of capital for corporations, governments, and non-profits, providing liquidity and innovative solutions globally across the credit, municipal, and securitized markets.

GSP’s activities include origination, structuring, investing, lending, and market making and it offers a variety of products including, but not limited to, corporate bonds, emerging markets bonds, asset backed securities, mortgage backed securities, collateralized loan obligations (CLOs), municipal securities, agency securities, short term interest rate products, loans, letters of credit, and derivative instruments, such as interest rate swaps, total return swaps, rate locks, and credit default swaps.

Global Spread Products Front-Office Technology team is building the next generation Data, Analytics & reporting platform to solve for Business and Analytics demands of an Industry leading franchise. A next generation data platform, built on new technologies, will facilitate the data being inspected, cleansed, transformed and aggregated for a growing toolkit of dashboards, reports, and interactive BI tools that support critical decision-making for business executives, traders and risk managers.

Responsibilities:

• Need to have interest in understanding the business’s reporting requirements and ability to translate them into execution of multiple reporting/analytical capabilities.
• Develop frameworks to automate common report needs.
• Work as a Senior developer for the GSP NAM reporting pod for all development, engineering and infrastructure tasks for delivery of reporting needs for GSP Business.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, project managers, front-office data analysts as well as business end users such as traders to define and implement reporting needs.
• Hands on development of critical business facing bespoke and complex reporting needs.
• Peer review of other developers’ technical work from time to time
• The position requires analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex material, technical or business or otherwise, from multiple sources.
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business integrate to accomplish business goals.
• Collaborate with the reporting team pods across other development regions – New York, Shanghai
• Maintain an on-going understanding of emerging data management technologies, industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of SDLC experience.
• Basic knowledge of industry practices and standards.
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
• Extensive experience in Python (3 years plus).
• Solid design/development background.
• Experience with Clojure is a plus.
• Experience in BI tools like Tableau, Qlikview or Panopticon.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
